Where: Square Top Mountain

Drive time is about 1hr 15minutes from the Metro area.

You’ll head West on I70 to Georgetown. From Georgetown follow the signs to Guanella pass. Mount Bierstadt is one of the 14ers at the top of the pass. Go past the parking lot for Mount Bierstadt and head to the Upper Parking lot. The entrance will be on the right side. There is where we’ll meet our crew!

Time + Itinerary: We’ll meet around the trailhead at 8:00am. So early, I know!

This is for three reasons:

1. We want to beat some of the crowds looking to summit the 14er and the parking can fill up fast.

2. For those of you that want to summit Square Top Mountain this will give you ample time.

3. Zero shade on this trail so better to start early before the sun beats it’s beauty down on us.

Bonus reason: We can beat the Sunday I70 traffic on the way back!

Our hike is to Square Top Lake, the lake in the photo, about 2.5 miles from the parking lot. There is a nice flat area for our flow. It won’t be a typical class, a bit more gentle than what’s typically thrown down.

Afterwards, if you want to summit, it’s another 2-ish miles for what feels like straight up.  Or, maybe you want to dip your feet in the lake and just chill; that’s what I’ll be doing!

Dogs are welcome on the trail with a leash.

What to Bring!
Colorado weather is unpredictable so bring layers!

Here are some items to consider:

  • Water
  • Food
  • Other goodies =)
  • Hat
  • Hiking Poles
  • Sunblock
  • Bathing suit to cold plunge
  • Midweight layer
  • Heavy layer
  • Rain Jacket

Unless you want to carry the extra weight, you do not need to bring a yoga mat. We will be on the ground/dirt so if you have something else that is lighter that you’d like to use, bring that. Otherwise you can get those feet on the ground!

What’s Class Like?

I love guiding classes and holding space. In any of my flow classes, you can expect to be challenged but you’ll never feel overwhelmed as all classes are accessible. I also give the freedom to explore while cueing up inversions and balancing poses. I’m approachable and always want your experience in class to be the best that it can be. If there is something you want to work on, tell me. If something didn’t feel right or a transition or pose felt awkward, tell me. I’m here as a guide and to support you!

I completed my 200 hr YTT in December of 2017. I’m also certified in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and do Vedic meditation.

Conscious Breathwork

Breathing Technique

Rebirthing, also known as rebirthing breathwork, is a breathing technique developed in the 1970s by Leonard Orr. It is based on the concept that controlled, conscious breathing can lead to physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. The practice involves a specific type of circular breathing pattern, which is characterized by continuous, deep, and connected breaths without any pauses between the inhale and exhale.
